Margaret Francis Kellis, an 82-year-old Aberdeen woman, has been charged with committing one of the least adorable crimes an old person can be charged with: Murder Most Foul.
On Friday The Southern Pines Pilot reported that Margaret Kellis, who stands accused of fatally shooting her husband Dallas Leon Kellis, 76, on July 20, was seeking a reduction in her bond, from $1 million to $100,000 (or two nights worth of Bingo earnings).
Superior Court Judge James Ammons Jr. denied the request, for fear that Margaret Kellis could pose a flight risk.Though Kellis is currently wheelchair bound and decrepit, the risk remains that she may try escaping by dying of old-age, or simply riding a strong gust of wind to Mexico. Read more here.
